Mannequin Table Hanging
A rant ..part two..opinion please?
Born of this earth
inherited all its worth
yet we find
we rape and pillage
all not our kind
We seek out groups
to espouse our hate
dare one to open
loves heavenly gate
Honor and trust
sold like clothes
hanging on a mannequin
in a window show
Hypocrites,leaders..perhaps
give the masses,
their table scraps
Where do we go?
No one knows
All will try to escape
might find it to late
We the people
have become a disease
to this earth,it grieves
She gave life and means
we gave war,strife polluted streams
Talk is done
without reason or thought
most who listen
need not weep
for those who follow
as a herd of sheep
The day will come
when the earth will release
all its anger fury
at us,lay it at our feet
Hope is,when the day arrives
some of the good will live
in those who survive
Pretty good as a rap, but too uncontrolled to be a poem -- as you say, it's more of a rant.
