Display Rack Sign
Slipped and fell in Supermarket, wet floor?
I fell today in a Supermarket because the floor was wet and now I think I may have permanent to my back. How much money can I so sue for?
They claim it was my fault because a moved one of the signs on the floor, but I only moved it because it was in my way and I didn't know it as a wet floor sign. I thought was part of a display rack that fell.
Either way the floor was wet and should not have been accessible, it should have been roped off. By no doing so they led me to believe it was safe. They are a big company, so I now they have a lot of money. A permanent bad back has got to worth a lot of money.
You have no case. The store is not obliged to rope off a section of the floor, it's only obliged to put a sign on the floor. Those "wet floor" signs are distinctive, you can't mistake them for displays. You are at fault here, not the store.
