Code Reader Laptop
car code reader, best?
I am looking for a good car code reader, that not only read when the engine light comes out, but also that could read possible problems before they happen. One than work especially on Japanese car, Honda and Toyota over 1996...I do not care if it needs a laptop or not to use it, I just need it not to be expensive (less than $100). But most important try to "predict" possible problems before they appear. Thanks for your help.
"Best" and "Under $100" don't really go together for code readers. At that price you will be looking at some very basic tools with no fancy bells and whistles.
You might try to find a used scan tool at a pawn shop or auction.
