What's the best way to take credit card payments online?
I have a store, an eBay store, and a seperate internet store. I accept payments online through PayPal, but I have a credit card terminal in my brick & mortar store so I can run cards when the numbers are given over the phone. The problem is that people who select the "Credit Cards" option on eBay, or who would like to pay that way on my store, have to be instructed to call in the payment, and they often just don't. If it was a click-to-pay sort of thing, though, I'm sure they would pay far more often. But I am not sure the best way to go about this.
Does PayPal offer an option to simply take credit cards, and not require the creation of a PayPal account? Many shoppers do not want to go through that process, they just want to type in their number and move on with their lives. And if not PayPal, is there some other option that is reliable and easily integrated?

Yes, you can accept payments through PayPal without the payer creating an account. This is the way our HOA accepts credit card payments. YOU need to create a commercial PayPal account. You also need to create a few web pages that will point the user to your PayPal payment pages.
