Please help me decorate my boutqiue......?

Hi,

I will be opening my boutique in a new location soon and would love to hear suggestions regarding the décor. Can you please share with me any color schemes or decorating ideas that you may think of or perhaps something you have seen at your favorite boutique that you really like. Any suggestions would be great with regards to the use of color, draperies, layout, store fixtures and window displays.

Here is some information if it helps. My boutique carries handbags in three price points (high ~$150-300, mid ~$60 & low ~$35) and higher end jewelry (Tarina Tarantino, Kidada and Disney Couture) and tees (Junk Food, Doe and Disney Couture). The typical shoppers are women between 20-40 years old so I would like to try to appeal to this span of ages.

I shop at a boutique near me that has a wonderful display. If you have the space it may be nice. They used a patio umbrella (with a wooden frame) and removed the fabric. Then she wound white lights and vines around to re-create the canopy. She uses this as a place from which to hang items. It looks really cool. It sits through the center of a small table on which she displays smaller items. It's really cool.
Another boutique near me (Santa Barbara area) has an entire display like a sushi bar. T-shirts are rolled and placed in take out boxes with chopsticks sticking out the side. Jewelry is placed on sushi plates. I'm not sure how this would work with purses, though.
Just be sure that you display at least some of your less expensive merchandise up front. When I'm trying to shop on a budget, I will often walk into a store and look at one or two items to determine whether or not the store is too pricey. If you have only higher end stuff up front you may lose some customers with the shallower pockets.
