do any apartments accept American Express?

I am moving to Southern California and my new company is giving me a pre-loaded Amex card to pay for temporary housing/ But do any apartments accept that as payment?

If you will be in temporary housing, why not stay at a Residence Inn?

The places that do corporate housing will accept AmEx (Oakwood, Korman Suites, etc.).
